The Last Stain
I sat down to watch TV one day and CP24 (Toronto's news micro blog station) was showing a documentary on Canadian R&B artist Knaan, it went on to tell the story of how he literally went from rags to riches, and all the hardships that he faced and the eventual triumphs from his music career but more importantly his humanitarian work and how he used his star power to help spread the word about hardships his people in Haiti were facing following a terrible earthquake that decimated the country, his people left in starvation and no infrastructure he gave them a voice and a face for other people to connect with, and the other people included me. So I started thinking, what could I do in this situation, I guess  I could donate $1000 dollars to some charity and hope that it does something, but that's what everyone does and I am not taking anything away from them but what if I could donate my skills and my passion; well that would be priceless. Thus the genesis, I built this log cabin in my back yard over the course of a couple of weeks and its pretty nice if I do say so myself, anyways I looked at that and thought wow it would be really easy to build these on a mass scale and it would be able to replace all the tents that the people in Haiti are living in, there is plenty of people to lend a hand and we would love to show these skills to anyone that is willing to learn so I said that is what I am going to do, now comes the hard part we just need to convince some  major companies to join us and embrace our passion to help others, we have contacted several companies and are just waiting for them to respond, now just like Knaan I know he faced roadblocks along the way and many walls that seemed impossible to climb but all he did was take what he had a passion for and spread the word about another passion and before long they called him freedom, just like a wavin flag. So help us get stronger, we are all older now and it's time to carry the flag together and build our passion.
